The first thing we need to rectify, is attributing power to others that they don’t have. The second step, the second thing that we have to rectify is attributing power to ourselves that we don’t have. I was having lunch with a friend of mine a few weeks ago and I asked him, “Where is your car parked?” And he pointed across the street. And I said, “Do you realize that you can’t walk to your car without swimming in godliness?” And you have to understand that this is the essence of the Shema. When we say, “Shema Yisrael, Hashem Elokenu, Hashem echad!” that “Hashem, You are one,” what are we saying? We’re saying that it’s all God. The entire world is wall-to-wall God. Not only does G-d fill the world, but He exists unimaginable dimensions beyond the world as well. In this talk we talk about His Oneness and how grasping that can change our lives.
